Contract preparation
Glanville is able to advise on the most appropriate form of contract for the project and ensure that all of the associated documentation is in place. We have extensive experience in the preparation of specifications, bills of quantities and other tender documentation. Glanville is also able to provide advice on the shortlisting of tenderers appropriate for the project.
Once we have evaluated returned tenders, we are able to advise on the final selection and appointment of the most suitable contractor.
Site supervision and project management
During the construction phase our engineers protect the interests of the client by monitoring progress on site, to see that work is carried out to an acceptable standard and in accordance with specification. If appropriate, we are able to place staff on site for the duration of the contract.
Our engineers ensure that design changes (that may prove necessary as a result of unforeseen site conditions) are accommodated efficiently with a minimum of delay to the project. Claims by the contractor for additional payments are reviewed and negotiated by Glanville, on behalf of the client.
