Our Flood Risk expertise has grown from our extensive work in development and infrastructure drainage, catchment and river modelling.
We are experienced in negotiating with the Environment Agency and familiar with the constraints and opportunities provided by national planning policy guidance ‘PPS25 Development and Flood Risk’.
We specialise in understanding your objectives and finding the optimum solution for you in a way which achieves a planning consent.

Where major works are required such as river diversions or bank strengthening, then our Civil Engineers can provide design and cost advice to assess alternative solutions. In all cases we will act proactively to reach a co-ordinated solution with your Architect and other experts on the team.
We have been designing sustainable drainage infrastructure since 1970, including open channels, attenuation ponds, swales, bio-retention beds, rainwater re-cycling, permeable pavements, crate storage, underground tanks, infiltration basins, hydrobrakes, orifice plates, fin drains and soakaways.

There are varying requirements for Flood Risk Assessments depending upon the size of the site, proposed use and location in relation to recognised flood zones.
We have the experience to know what analysis is required for different scenarios and the skill to prevent unnecessary analysis by agreeing an appropriate scope of works with the Environment Agency from the outset.
